Ruo Lian Xie is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant impact on the world of music. Born in China, Xie showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of five. Her parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue music as a career. Xie's musical education began at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, where she studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and educator, Professor Yin Chengzong. During her time at the conservatory, Xie developed a deep appreciation for classical music and honed her skills as a pianist. After completing her studies at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Xie moved to the United States to further her education. She enrolled at the Juilliard School in New York City, where she studied with the legendary pianist and teacher, Yoheved Kaplinsky. Under Kaplinsky's tutelage, Xie continued to refine her technique and develop her musical style. Xie's talent and hard work paid off when she won several prestigious awards and competitions. In 2003, she won the top prize at the Hilton Head International Piano Competition, which helped to launch her career as a soloist. She also won the first prize at the Missouri Southern International Piano Competition in 2004 and the first prize at the New Orleans International Piano Competition in 2006. Xie's success in these competitions led to numerous performance opportunities around the world. She has performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Kennedy Center. Xie has also performed with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the London Symphony Orchestra. One of Xie's most memorable performances was her debut with the New York Philharmonic in 2007. She performed Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2, which was met with critical acclaim.
