The choir's name, PaTRAM, is an acronym for Patriarch Tikhon Russian American Music Institute, which was established in 2011 to promote the study and performance of Russian Orthodox choral music. The PaTRAM Institute Male Choir is one of the institute's flagship ensembles, and it has quickly become one of the most sought-after choirs in the world.
