Claire Cachia is a classical music artist who has made a name for herself in the industry through her exceptional talent and dedication to her craft. Born on May 12, 1990, in Malta, Claire showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. Her parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue her passion for music. Claire's early years were spent studying music theory and piano under the guidance of her first teacher, Maria Dolores Azzopardi. She quickly progressed and began participating in local competitions, winning several awards and accolades. Her talent was evident, and she was soon invited to perform at various events and concerts. In 2005, Claire was accepted into the Johann Strauss School of Music in Malta, where she continued her studies under the tutelage of renowned pianist and teacher, Dr. Michael Laus. She excelled in her studies and was awarded the prestigious Diploma in Piano Performance with Distinction in 2009. Following her success at the Johann Strauss School of Music, Claire was awarded a scholarship to study at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, UK. She completed her Bachelor of Music degree in 2013, graduating with First Class Honours. During her time at the Royal Northern College of Music, Claire had the opportunity to study under the guidance of renowned pianists such as Graham Scott, Dina Parakhina, and Murray McLachlan. Claire's talent and dedication to her craft have led to numerous highlights in her career. In 2010, she was invited to perform at the Malta International Music Festival, where she received critical acclaim for her performance of Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14 in C-sharp minor, Op. 27, No. 2, also known as the "Moonlight Sonata." The following year, she was invited to perform at the prestigious Valletta International Baroque Festival, where she performed works by Bach, Scarlatti, and Handel. In 2012, Claire was awarded the prestigious RNCM Gold Medal, which is awarded to the most outstanding student of the year. The award is highly coveted and is a testament to Claire's exceptional talent and dedication to her craft. The same year, she was also awarded the RNCM Piano Recital Prize, which is awarded to the student who demonstrates the most outstanding performance in a piano recital. Claire's talent has also been recognized internationally. In 2014, she was invited to perform at the International Piano Festival in Brescia, Italy, where she performed works by Chopin, Liszt, and Debussy. Her performance was highly praised, and she was invited to return to the festival the following year. In addition to her solo performances, Claire has also collaborated with other musicians and ensembles. In 2015, she performed with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, where she performed Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 23 in A major, K. 488. The performance was highly praised, and Claire was invited to perform with the orchestra again the following year. Claire's dedication to her craft has also led to her involvement in music education. She has taught piano at the Johann Strauss School of Music in Malta and has also given masterclasses and workshops in the UK and Italy. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience with the next generation of musicians and is committed to promoting classical music to a wider audience.
