Ariana Grande-Butera, known professionally as Ariana Grande, is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She was born on June 26, 1993, in Boca Raton, Florida, to Joan Grande and Edward Butera. Her parents are of Italian descent, and her father is of Sicilian origin. Grande grew up in a musical family, and her mother was the CEO of Hose-McCann Communications, a company that provides equipment for the marine and aviation industries. Grande began her career in 2008 when she played the role of Charlotte in the Broadway musical 13. She then landed a role in the Nickelodeon television series Victorious, which aired from 2010 to 2013. Grande played the role of Cat Valentine, a bubbly and eccentric character who was known for her singing voice.
