Simon Van Holen was born on May 12, 1985, in Brussels, Belgium. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Simon showed a keen interest in music and began playing the violin at the age of four. Simon's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking lessons from some of the best violin teachers in Belgium and quickly developed a reputation as a prodigious talent. By the age of ten, Simon had already won several local competitions and was invited to perform at prestigious venues across Europe. In 1997, Simon was accepted into the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, where he studied under the tutelage of renowned violinist and pedagogue, Philippe Graffin. During his time at the conservatory, Simon honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of classical music. He also began to experiment with different styles of music, including jazz and folk, which would later influence his own compositions. After graduating from the conservatory in 2005, Simon began his professional career as a soloist and chamber musician. Simon's performances were praised for their technical brilliance and emotional depth.
