The Chamber Soloists of Austin is a classical music ensemble that has been captivating audiences with their exceptional performances for over 30 years. The group was founded in 1987 by pianist Michelle Schumann, who wanted to create a chamber music ensemble that would showcase the talents of Austin's finest musicians. The group's early years were marked by a series of successful performances in and around Austin, Texas. The ensemble quickly gained a reputation for their exceptional musicianship and their ability to bring classical music to life in a way that was both engaging and accessible to audiences of all ages. Over the years, the Chamber Soloists of Austin have performed at some of the most prestigious venues in the United States, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Kennedy Center. They have also been featured on numerous radio and television programs, including NPR's "Performance Today" and PBS's "Live from Lincoln Center." One of the highlights of the Chamber Soloists of Austin's career was their performance at the 2002 World Economic Forum in New York City. The group was invited to perform for an audience of world leaders, including former President Bill Clinton and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. The performance was a huge success, and helped to cement the group's reputation as one of the finest classical music ensembles in the world.
