Maite's musical journey began at the Conservatory of San Sebastian, where she studied piano under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Ana Guijarro. She later continued her studies at the Conservatory of Madrid, where she received a degree in piano performance. During her time in Madrid, Maite also studied chamber music and accompaniment, which helped her develop a well-rounded approach to music. After completing her studies, Maite began performing in various concerts and recitals across Spain.
