Glenn Basham is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant contribution to the world of music. Born on August 6, 1950, in Washington, D.C., Basham grew up in a family of musicians. His father was a jazz pianist, and his mother was a singer. Basham's parents recognized his musical talent at an early age and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. In 1987, Basham left the New York Philharmonic to join the faculty of the University of Miami's Frost School of Music. He currently serves as the school's professor of violin and chamber music. Basham is also the concertmaster of the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra in Florida, a position he has held since 1994. Throughout his career, Basham has performed as a soloist with numerous orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Pops, and the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra.
