He began studying at the Paris Conservatory at the age of 10 and quickly became one of the most promising students in his class. He studied under some of the most renowned music teachers in France, including Nadia Boulanger and Marcel Dupré. Carradot's talent and hard work paid off when he won the first prize in the prestigious Marguerite Long-Jacques Thibaud International Piano Competition in 1943. This was a major achievement for the young musician and helped to launch his career. Over the next few years, Carradot continued to perform in concerts and recitals throughout France and Europe. He quickly gained a reputation as one of the most talented and exciting young pianists of his generation. He was known for his technical skill, his musicality, and his ability to connect with audiences. In 1950, Carradot made his debut in the United States, performing at Carnegie Hall in New York City. He underwent surgery and rehabilitation and was eventually able to return to performing, although he had to make some adjustments to his playing style. Despite this setback, Carradot continued to perform and record throughout the 1970s and 1980s. He was known for his interpretations of the works of Chopin, Liszt, and Debussy, among others. He also recorded several albums of his own compositions, which were well-received by critics and audiences alike. Throughout his career, Carradot received numerous awards and honors. In addition to his win at the Marguerite Long-Jacques Thibaud International Piano Competition, he was awarded the Grand Prix du Disque several times for his recordings.
