Regina Iberica was born on May 15, 1985, in Madrid, Spain. She was born into a family of musicians, and her parents were both professional classical musicians. Her father was a renowned cellist, and her mother was a pianist. From a young age, Regina was exposed to classical music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Regina's parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. She began taking piano lessons with her mother and quickly showed a natural aptitude for the instrument. By the age of ten, Regina had already won several local piano competitions and was performing in public regularly. At the age of twelve, Regina was accepted into the prestigious Conservatorio de Música de Madrid, where she studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist and teacher, Maria Teresa Uribe. Under Uribe's guidance, Regina's skills as a pianist flourished, and she quickly became one of the top students in her class. In 2003, Regina was awarded a scholarship to study at the Juilliard School in New York City. She moved to the United States and began studying under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Emanuel Ax. While at Juilliard, Regina continued to excel as a pianist and was awarded several prestigious awards, including the Juilliard Concerto Competition and the Gina Bachauer Piano Competition. After graduating from Juilliard in 2007, Regina began performing professionally as a soloist and chamber musician. She quickly gained a reputation as one of the most talented young pianists in the world and was invited to perform at some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, including Carnegie Hall, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Royal Albert Hall. Regina's performances were praised for their technical brilliance and emotional depth. She was particularly noted for her interpretations of the works of Chopin, Beethoven, and Rachmaninoff. Her performances were often described as "mesmerizing" and "spellbinding." In 2010, Regina was awarded the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, which is awarded annually to outstanding young musicians who show exceptional talent and promise.
