The Lone Star Wind Orchestra is a classical music ensemble based in Dallas, Texas. Founded in 2001 by Eugene Migliaro Corporon, the ensemble has become one of the premier wind orchestras in the United States. Eugene Migliaro Corporon, the conductor and artistic director of the Lone Star Wind Orchestra, is a renowned conductor and educator. He has conducted numerous ensembles around the world and has won numerous awards for his work. Corporon founded the Lone Star Wind Orchestra with the goal of creating a world-class wind orchestra that would showcase the talents of the best wind musicians in Texas. The ensemble is made up of some of the finest wind musicians in the state of Texas. The members of the Lone Star Wind Orchestra are all highly trained professionals who have performed with some of the most prestigious orchestras in the world. The ensemble is made up of woodwind, brass, and percussion players, and they perform a wide range of classical music, from traditional wind band repertoire to contemporary works. The Lone Star Wind Orchestra has performed at some of the most prestigious venues in the United States, including Carnegie Hall in New York City and the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas. They have also performed at numerous music festivals, including the Midwest Clinic in Chicago and the Texas Music Educators Association Convention. One of the highlights of the Lone Star Wind Orchestra's career was their performance at the 2009 Midwest Clinic in Chicago. The Midwest Clinic is one of the largest and most prestigious music conferences in the world, and the Lone Star Wind Orchestra was one of only a handful of wind orchestras invited to perform at the conference that year.
