Gail Robertson is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant contribution to the world of music. She was born on August 22, 1965, in the United States. From a young age, Gail showed a keen interest in music, and her parents encouraged her to pursue her passion. Gail began her musical journey by learning to play the piano. However, she soon discovered her love for the French horn and decided to focus on mastering this instrument. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Texas in 1987 and went on to earn her Master of Music degree from the University of Michigan in 1989. After completing her studies, Gail began her professional career as a French horn player. She joined the United States Air Force Band in Washington, D.C., where she served as a soloist and section leader for six years. During her time in the Air Force Band, Gail had the opportunity to perform for numerous high-profile events, including presidential inaugurations and state funerals. In 1995, Gail left the Air Force Band to pursue a career as a freelance musician. She quickly established herself as one of the most sought-after French horn players in the country. She has performed with many of the top orchestras in the United States, including the National Symphony Orchestra, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Gail has also made a name for herself as a soloist and chamber musician. She has performed at numerous music festivals, including the Sarasota Music Festival, the Eastern Music Festival, and the Brevard Music Center. In addition, she has collaborated with many of the top chamber music ensembles in the country, including the American Brass Quintet and the Empire Brass. One of the highlights of Gail's career was her performance at the 2002 International Horn Symposium in Brisbane, Australia. She was invited to perform as a soloist with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, and her performance was met with critical acclaim. In addition, Gail has been a featured soloist with many other orchestras, including the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, the Houston Symphony Orchestra, and the San Antonio Symphony Orchestra. Gail has also been recognized for her contributions to the world of music. In 1997, she was awarded the prestigious National Symphony Orchestra Young Soloist Award. In addition, she has been a finalist in several other competitions, including the International Horn Competition of America and the American Horn Competition. In addition to her career as a performer, Gail is also an accomplished educator. She has served on the faculty of several universities, including the University of North Texas, the University of Maryland, and the University of Miami.
