The choir started with just a handful of children, but it quickly grew in popularity and size. Today, the choir has over 100 members, ranging in age from 7 to 18 years old. The choir is made up of both boys and girls, and they come from all over Amsterdam and the surrounding areas. The St. Willibrod Church Children's Choir is known for their beautiful harmonies and their ability to perform a wide range of classical music pieces. They have performed at some of the most prestigious venues in the world, including the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Vatican in Rome, and Carnegie Hall in New York City. One of the highlights of the choir's career was their performance at the 1999 World Youth Day in Rome. The choir was invited to perform for Pope John Paul II, and they sang a selection of hymns and classical music pieces that left the audience in awe. In 2005, they won the first prize in the National Children's Choir Competition in the Netherlands.
