Ensemble Tamanial is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2012 by a group of young musicians who shared a passion for chamber music. The ensemble is based in Berlin, Germany, and is known for its innovative and dynamic performances that blend traditional classical music with contemporary styles. The founding members of Ensemble Tamanial were violinist Anna-Lena Perenthaler, cellist Johannes Krebs, and pianist Florian Feilmair. All three musicians had studied at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin and had already established themselves as talented performers in their own right. They came together with the goal of creating a chamber music ensemble that would explore new and exciting ways of interpreting classical music. From the beginning, Ensemble Tamanial was committed to pushing the boundaries of classical music. The ensemble's repertoire includes works by both well-known composers such as Beethoven, Brahms, and Schubert, as well as contemporary composers like Arvo Pärt and Philip Glass. The ensemble's performances are characterized by their energy, precision, and emotional depth. One of the highlights of Ensemble Tamanial's early career was their performance at the 2013 International Chamber Music Festival in Berlin. The ensemble's performance of Schubert's Piano Trio No. 2 in E-flat major was widely praised for its technical virtuosity and emotional intensity. The performance helped to establish Ensemble Tamanial as one of the most exciting young chamber music ensembles in Germany. In the years that followed, Ensemble Tamanial continued to build its reputation through a series of high-profile performances and collaborations. In 2015, the ensemble performed at the prestigious Rheingau Music Festival, where they played a program of works by Beethoven, Brahms, and Schumann. The performance was a critical and commercial success, and helped to cement Ensemble Tamanial's reputation as one of the most exciting young ensembles in Europe. In addition to their performances, Ensemble Tamanial has also been recognized for their recordings. In 2016, the ensemble released their debut album, "Tamanial," which featured works by Beethoven, Brahms, and Schumann. The album was widely praised for its technical excellence and emotional depth, and helped to establish Ensemble Tamanial as one of the most promising young ensembles in the classical music world. Over the years, Ensemble Tamanial has undergone some changes in its membership. In 2017, cellist Johannes Krebs left the ensemble to pursue other opportunities, and was replaced by cellist Maximilian Hornung. Hornung had previously played with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and was widely regarded as one of the most talented young cellists in Germany. Since Hornung joined the ensemble, Ensemble Tamanial has continued to build its reputation through a series of high-profile performances and collaborations. In 2018, the ensemble performed at the Beethovenfest Bonn, where they played a program of works by Beethoven, Brahms, and Schumann. The performance was a critical and commercial success, and helped to establish Ensemble Tamanial as one of the most exciting young ensembles in the classical music world. In addition to their performances, Ensemble Tamanial has also been recognized for their contributions to the classical music world.
