Role:ConductorJuraj Valcuha is a Slovakian conductor who has made a name for himself in the world of classical music. Born on February 17, 1976, in Bratislava, Slovakia, Valcuha grew up in a family of musicians. His father was a composer and his mother was a pianist, so it was only natural that he would develop an interest in music at a young age. Valcuha began his musical education at the Bratislava Conservatory, where he studied piano and conducting. He later went on to study at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts, where he received a degree in conducting. During his time in Vienna, Valcuha had the opportunity to work with some of the world's most renowned conductors, including Claudio Abbado and Sir Simon Rattle. Valcuha's career as a conductor began in 2000, when he was appointed as the assistant conductor of the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra.
