Besses O' Th' Barn Band is a classical music ensemble that has been entertaining audiences for over 170 years. The band was founded in 1818 in the town of Whitefield, near Manchester, England. The band's name comes from the barn where they used to practice, which was located on Besses o' th' Barn Farm. The band's early years were marked by a series of ups and downs.
