He was the son of a music teacher and grew up in a family that was deeply involved in music. From a young age, Falk showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. He began his formal training at the Vienna Conservatory, where he studied under some of the most renowned music teachers of the time. In 1965, Falk made his debut as a soloist with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. The performance was a huge success, and Falk was hailed as a rising star in the classical music world. Over the next few years, he continued to perform with some of the most prestigious orchestras in Europe, including the Berlin Philharmonic and the London Symphony Orchestra. In 1970, Falk moved to the United States to further his career.
