Jacob Soto was born on May 15, 1985, in Madrid, Spain. He was born into a family of musicians, and his parents were both professional classical musicians. His father was a cellist, and his mother was a pianist. From a young age, Jacob was exposed to classical music and began to show an interest in playing the piano. At the age of five, Jacob began taking piano lessons with his mother. He quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument and began to excel in his studies. By the age of ten, he had already won several local piano competitions and had begun to perform in public. In 1997, Jacob's family moved to the United States, where he continued his piano studies with renowned pianist and teacher, Dr. John Smith. Under Dr. Smith's guidance, Jacob continued to develop his skills and began to perform in more prestigious venues. In 2003, Jacob was accepted into the Juilliard School in New York City, one of the most prestigious music schools in the world. He studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Dr. Maria Rodriguez. During his time at Juilliard, Jacob continued to excel in his studies and began to perform in major concert halls around the world. In 2007, Jacob graduated from Juilliard with a Bachelor of Music degree. He then went on to pursue a Master of Music degree at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Dr. David Jones. During his time at Curtis, Jacob continued to perform in major concert halls around the world and began to receive recognition for his talent. In 2009, he won first prize in the International Piano Competition in Paris, France. This was a major achievement for Jacob and helped to establish him as one of the top young pianists in the world. After graduating from Curtis in 2010, Jacob began to focus on his career as a solo pianist. He began to perform in major concert halls around the world and was quickly recognized for his virtuosic playing and musicality.
