They were soon joined by clarinetist Joaquin ValdepeƱas and violist Steven Dann, and the ensemble began performing regularly in Toronto and throughout Canada. Over the years, Amici Ensemble has expanded its repertoire to include a wide range of classical music, from Baroque to contemporary. The ensemble has also collaborated with many renowned musicians, including pianist Anton Kuerti, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, and violinist Pinchas Zukerman. One of the highlights of Amici Ensemble's career was their performance at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia. The ensemble was invited to perform at the Cultural Olympiad, a series of events that celebrated the arts and culture of the participating countries. Amici Ensemble performed a program of Canadian and international music, which was broadcast to millions of viewers around the world. Amici Ensemble has also been recognized for their outstanding performances and recordings.
