Niranjan Wijewickrema is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant contribution to the world of music. He was born on 12th June 1980 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. From a young age, Niranjan showed a keen interest in music and began learning the piano at the age of six. His parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue his passion for music. Niranjan's musical journey began when he joined the Royal College of Music in London, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Professor Vanessa Latarche. He completed his Bachelor of Music degree with first-class honors and went on to pursue a Master of Music degree at the same institution. During his time at the Royal College of Music, Niranjan won several awards and accolades for his outstanding performances. He was awarded the prestigious Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Scholarship, which is awarded to exceptional students who demonstrate exceptional talent and potential. He was also awarded the Hopkinson Gold Medal for his outstanding performance in the final recital of his Bachelor of Music degree. Niranjan's talent and dedication to music were recognized by several renowned musicians and conductors, who invited him to perform with them.
