Lubos Fiser was a Czech composer who was born on September 30, 1935, in Prague, Czechoslovakia. He was the son of a famous Czech composer, Karel Fiser, who was a professor at the Prague Conservatory. Lubos Fiser grew up in a musical family and started playing the piano at a young age. He later studied composition at the Prague Conservatory and the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. Fiser's early works were influenced by the avant-garde movement, and he was known for his experimental approach to music. He was also interested in film music and worked as a composer for several Czech films. In the 1960s, Fiser became associated with the Czech New Wave film movement, and his music was featured in several films of the era. One of Fiser's most famous works is his opera, "Antony and Cleopatra," which was premiered in 1974. The opera was based on the play by William Shakespeare and was a critical success. Fiser's music was praised for its dramatic intensity and emotional depth. Fiser also composed several orchestral works, including his Symphony No. 1, which was premiered in 1963.
