Duo DS is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2012 by two talented musicians, violinist Daria Adams and pianist Sergey Dubov. The duo has gained recognition for their exceptional performances and unique interpretations of classical music pieces. Daria Adams was born in Russia and began playing the violin at the age of six. She studied at the Moscow State Conservatory and later at the University of North Texas, where she earned her Master's degree in Violin Performance. Sergey Dubov was also born in Russia and began playing the piano at the age of five. He studied at the Moscow State Conservatory and later at the University of North Texas, where he earned his Doctorate in Piano Performance. The two musicians met while studying at the University of North Texas and quickly discovered their shared passion for classical music. They began performing together and soon realized that they had a special connection that allowed them to create beautiful and unique interpretations of classical music pieces. Duo DS has performed at numerous prestigious venues and events, including the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., the Carnegie Hall in New York City, and the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow. They have also performed at various music festivals, including the Texas Music Festival and the International Keyboard Institute and Festival in New York City. One of the highlights of Duo DS's career was their performance at the Kennedy Center in 2015. The duo performed a program of classical music pieces by composers such as Beethoven, Brahms, and Tchaikovsky. Their performance was met with critical acclaim, with reviewers praising their technical skill and emotional depth. Duo DS has also received numerous awards and accolades for their performances. In 2014, they were awarded the Grand Prize at the International Chamber Music Ensemble Competition in New York City. They were also finalists in the 2015 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition and the 2016 Chamber Music Yellow Springs Competition. In addition to their performances, Duo DS is also committed to music education. They have conducted masterclasses and workshops for young musicians at various universities and music schools, including the University of North Texas and the Moscow State Conservatory.
