From a young age, Jenne showed a keen interest in music, and his parents encouraged him to pursue his passion. He started playing the piano at the age of six and quickly developed a natural talent for the instrument. Jenne's parents recognized his potential and enrolled him in the Berlin Conservatory of Music when he was just ten years old. There, he received formal training in music theory, composition, and piano performance. Jenne's dedication and hard work paid off, and he graduated with top honors from the conservatory at the age of eighteen. After completing his studies, Jenne began his career as a concert pianist. He quickly gained recognition for his exceptional talent and was invited to perform at various prestigious venues across Europe. In 1972, he made his debut at the Berlin Philharmonic, where he performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5. The performance was a huge success, and Jenne received critical acclaim for his interpretation of the piece. Over the years, Jenne continued to perform at some of the world's most renowned concert halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Sydney Opera House in Australia. He was known for his technical proficiency, musical sensitivity, and ability to connect with his audience. In addition to his solo performances, Jenne also collaborated with other musicians and orchestras. He also worked with renowned conductors such as Herbert von Karajan, Leonard Bernstein, and Claudio Abbado. Jenne's repertoire was vast and included works by some of the greatest composers in history, such as Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, and Liszt. He was particularly known for his interpretations of Beethoven's piano sonatas, which he performed in their entirety on several occasions. Throughout his career, Jenne received numerous awards and accolades for his contributions to the world of music. In 1985, he was awarded the Order of Merit of Berlin, one of the city's highest honors.
