The North East Youth Chorale is a classical music group that has been captivating audiences with their beautiful harmonies and stunning performances for over two decades. The group was founded in 1999 by a group of music educators who wanted to provide young singers in the North East with an opportunity to showcase their talents and develop their skills in a supportive and nurturing environment. From its humble beginnings, the North East Youth Chorale has grown into one of the most respected and acclaimed youth choirs in the country. The group is made up of talented young singers from across the North East region of the United States, ranging in age from 12 to 18 years old. The group is led by a team of experienced music educators and conductors who work tirelessly to help the young singers develop their skills and reach their full potential. Over the years, the North East Youth Chorale has performed at some of the most prestigious venues in the country, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Kennedy Center. The group has also been invited to perform at numerous music festivals and competitions, both nationally and internationally, where they have consistently received high praise and recognition for their exceptional performances. One of the highlights of the North East Youth Chorale's career was their performance at the 2008 World Choir Games in Graz, Austria. The group competed against choirs from around the world and won a gold medal in the Youth Choirs of Equal Voices category. The group's performance was praised for its precision, clarity, and emotional depth, and it was clear that the young singers had put their hearts and souls into their performance. In addition to their many performances and competitions, the North East Youth Chorale has also been recognized with numerous awards and honors over the years. The group has been named the Grand Champion of the National Youth Choir Festival three times, and they have also received awards for their outstanding performances at the American Choral Directors Association National Conference and the National Association for Music Education National Conference. Despite their many accomplishments, the North East Youth Chorale remains committed to their mission of providing young singers with a supportive and nurturing environment in which to develop their skills and talents. The group continues to work tirelessly to inspire and educate young singers, and they are dedicated to ensuring that classical music remains a vibrant and vital part of our cultural heritage for generations to come.
