She was born into a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Nora was exposed to classical music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Her parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Nora attended the Emīls Dārziņš Music School in Riga, where she studied piano under the guidance of renowned pianist and pedagogue, Jāzeps Vītols. She showed exceptional talent and dedication, and at the age of 12, she won first prize in the Latvian National Piano Competition for Young Musicians. In 2003, Nora was accepted into the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, where she continued her studies under the tutelage of Professor Arnis Zandmanis. She graduated with honors in 2008, receiving a Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance. After completing her studies, Nora began performing extensively throughout Europe, Asia, and the United States. She quickly gained a reputation as a talented and dynamic pianist, known for her technical proficiency and emotional depth. One of Nora's most notable performances was at the 2010 International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland. She was one of 78 pianists from around the world who competed in the prestigious event, which is held every five years. Nora's performance of Chopin's Ballade No. 1 in G minor earned her a place in the semi-finals, where she performed Chopin's Sonata No. 2 in B-flat minor. Although she did not advance to the finals, Nora's performance was highly praised by the judges and audience members alike. In 2012, Nora was invited to perform at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. as part of the Millennium Stage Concert Series. Her performance included works by Beethoven, Chopin, and Liszt, and was met with enthusiastic applause from the audience. Nora has also been recognized for her contributions to the world of classical music. In 2014, she was awarded the Latvian Grand Music Award, the highest honor in Latvian music. The award recognized her outstanding achievements as a pianist and her contributions to the promotion of Latvian music around the world. In addition to her performing career, Nora is also a dedicated teacher. She has taught masterclasses at the Latvian Academy of Music and the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, and has served as a jury member for several international piano competitions.
