From a young age, Irene showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Her parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Irene began her formal music education at the Vienna Conservatory, where she studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist and pedagogue, Professor Franz Schmidt. Under his guidance, Irene developed a deep understanding of the technical and artistic aspects of piano playing. She also gained a thorough knowledge of the classical repertoire, which would serve her well in her future career. After completing her studies at the Vienna Conservatory, Irene went on to study at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, where she continued to hone her skills as a pianist. During her time at the Mozarteum, Irene had the opportunity to work with some of the most distinguished pianists of our time, including Martha Argerich, Maurizio Pollini, and Alfred Brendel. These experiences helped Irene to develop her own unique style of playing, which is characterized by a deep emotional intensity and a profound understanding of the music. Irene's career as a concert pianist began in earnest in 2007, when she won the prestigious International Piano Competition in Geneva, Switzerland. This victory brought her to the attention of the international music community, and she soon began receiving invitations to perform at major concert halls around the world. One of the highlights of Irene's career came in 2010, when she was invited to perform at the Royal Albert Hall in London as part of the BBC Proms. This was a major milestone for Irene, as the BBC Proms is one of the most prestigious classical music festivals in the world. Irene's performance was widely praised by critics and audiences alike, and it helped to establish her as one of the leading pianists of her generation. She has also collaborated with many of the world's leading conductors, including Daniel Barenboim, Simon Rattle, and Riccardo Muti. In addition to her work as a concert pianist, Irene is also a dedicated teacher and mentor. She has taught masterclasses at some of the world's leading music schools, including the Juilliard School in New York and the Royal Academy of Music in London. Irene is passionate about passing on her knowledge and experience to the next generation of musicians, and she takes great pride in seeing her students go on to achieve success in their own careers.
