Baltic Neopolis Orchestra is a classical music ensemble based in Gdansk, Poland. The orchestra was founded in 2012 by conductor and artistic director, Ernest Danel, with the aim of promoting classical music in the Baltic region and beyond. The orchestra comprises of highly skilled musicians from Poland and other Baltic countries, including Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. The ensemble's repertoire includes works by classical composers such as Mozart, Beethoven, and Tchaikovsky, as well as contemporary composers like Arvo Pärt and Krzysztof Penderecki. Baltic Neopolis Orchestra has performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls in Europe, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Konzerthaus in Vienna. The ensemble has also performed at major music festivals, such as the Gdansk Mozart Festival, the Baltic Sea Festival, and the Warsaw Autumn Festival. One of the highlights of the orchestra's performances was their collaboration with the legendary pianist Martha Argerich in 2015. The ensemble performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 1 with Argerich as the soloist, receiving critical acclaim for their performance. Baltic Neopolis Orchestra has also received numerous awards and accolades for their performances. In 2014, the ensemble won the Grand Prix at the International Music Festival in Łódź, Poland. The following year, they were awarded the prestigious Paszport Polityki award, which recognizes outstanding achievements in the arts and culture in Poland. In addition to their performances, Baltic Neopolis Orchestra is also committed to promoting classical music education.
