Born on May 23, 1991, in Moscow, Redkin showed an early aptitude for music and began studying piano at the age of five. His parents, both professional musicians, recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. Redkin's early training was rigorous, and he spent many hours practicing and studying under the guidance of his teachers. He attended the Moscow Conservatory, one of the most prestigious music schools in Russia, where he studied with renowned pianists such as Sergei Dorensky and Nikolai Lugansky. During his time at the conservatory, Redkin won several awards and competitions, including the International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians in 2004. After completing his studies at the Moscow Conservatory, Redkin continued his education at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hanover, Germany, where he studied with Arie Vardi. He also participated in masterclasses with some of the world's most celebrated pianists, including Martha Argerich, Krystian Zimerman, and Murray Perahia. Redkin's career as a professional pianist began to take off in the early 2010s, when he won several major competitions and began performing in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls. In 2014, he won the International Tchaikovsky Competition, one of the most prestigious music competitions in the world. His performance of Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 2 in the final round of the competition was widely praised for its technical brilliance and emotional depth. Since then, Redkin has performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Mariinsky Orchestra, and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. He has also given solo recitals in some of the world's most famous concert halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Royal Albert Hall in London. Redkin's repertoire is wide-ranging, and he is known for his interpretations of works by composers such as Beethoven, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, and Prokofiev.
