The Donetsk Philharmonic Orchestra is a classical music ensemble based in Donetsk, Ukraine. The orchestra was founded in 1933 and has since become one of the most renowned orchestras in the country. Despite the orchestra's many achievements, it has faced many challenges over the years. In 2014, the ongoing conflict in Ukraine forced the orchestra to relocate from Donetsk to Kiev. The orchestra has continued to perform in Kiev and other cities in Ukraine, but the conflict has made it difficult for the orchestra to travel and perform internationally. Despite these challenges, the Donetsk Philharmonic Orchestra remains a beloved and respected ensemble in Ukraine and around the world.
