He was born into a family of musicians, and his father was a well-known violinist. From a young age, Denti showed a keen interest in music, and he began playing the piano at the age of four. He was a prodigious talent, and his parents recognized his potential early on. Denti's parents encouraged him to pursue a career in music, and he began taking piano lessons with some of the best teachers in Milan. He quickly developed a reputation as a gifted pianist, and he began performing in public at the age of six. By the time he was a teenager, Denti had already won several prestigious competitions, and he was well on his way to becoming a world-class musician. In 1968, Denti moved to the United States to study at the Juilliard School in New York City. He studied under some of the most renowned piano teachers in the world, including Rosina Lhévinne and Adele Marcus. Denti's time at Juilliard was a formative experience, and he developed a deep appreciation for the classical music tradition. After graduating from Juilliard, Denti began performing professionally. He quickly gained a reputation as one of the most talented pianists of his generation, and he was in high demand as a soloist and chamber musician.
