From a young age, Gross showed a keen interest in music, and his parents encouraged him to pursue his passion. Gross began his musical journey by learning to play the piano at the age of six. He quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument and began taking lessons from renowned pianists in New York City. By the time he was a teenager, Gross had already won several local and regional piano competitions. After completing his high school education, Gross went on to study music at the Juilliard School in New York City. He received his Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance in 1997 and his Master of Music degree in 1999.
