VocalEssence Ensemble Chorus is a renowned classical music artist that has been captivating audiences with their exceptional performances for over 50 years. The group was founded in 1969 by Philip Brunelle, a talented conductor and pianist who had a passion for choral music. Brunelle's vision was to create a world-class choral ensemble that would showcase the beauty and power of the human voice. The group started small, with just a handful of singers, but quickly grew in size and reputation. Over the years, VocalEssence has become one of the most respected choral ensembles in the world, known for their impeccable musicianship, innovative programming, and commitment to community engagement. One of the hallmarks of VocalEssence's performances is their dedication to showcasing a diverse range of music, from classical masterpieces to contemporary works. The group has commissioned over 300 new works from composers around the world, including Pulitzer Prize winners John Adams and Dominick Argento. VocalEssence has also collaborated with some of the biggest names in classical music, including the Minnesota Orchestra, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, and the London Symphony Orchestra. They have performed at some of the most prestigious venues in the world, including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the Royal Albert Hall. One of the highlights of VocalEssence's career was their performance at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.
