Johanna Busch was born on May 12, 1990, in Berlin, Germany. She was born into a family of musicians, with her father being a renowned pianist and her mother a violinist. From a young age, Johanna showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Her parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Johanna's early musical education was under the guidance of her father, who taught her the basics of piano playing. She quickly progressed and began performing in public at the age of six. Her first major performance was at the Berlin Philharmonic Hall, where she played Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 20 in D minor. The audience was amazed by her talent and gave her a standing ovation. Johanna continued to study music under the guidance of her father and other renowned pianists. She attended the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin, where she studied with Professor Klaus Hellwig. During her time at the conservatory, Johanna won several awards and competitions, including the Steinway Prize and the International Piano Competition in Vienna. After completing her studies, Johanna began performing extensively throughout Europe and Asia. She quickly gained a reputation as one of the most talented young pianists of her generation. Her performances were characterized by her technical brilliance and her ability to convey deep emotion through her playing. One of Johanna's most memorable performances was at the Salzburg Festival in 2012. She played Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat major, also known as the Emperor Concerto.
