Born on May 5, 1985, in Sofia, Bulgaria, Tanya showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of five. Her parents, both music lovers, recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Tanya's early musical education was at the National School of Music "Lyubomir Pipkov" in Sofia, where she studied with renowned Bulgarian pianist and pedagogue, Prof. Stella Dimitrova-Maistorova. Under her guidance, Tanya developed a strong foundation in classical piano technique and repertoire. She also participated in numerous competitions and festivals, winning several awards and prizes. In 2003, Tanya was accepted into the National Academy of Music "Pancho Vladigerov" in Sofia, where she continued her studies with Prof. Dimitrova-Maistorova. During her time at the academy, Tanya had the opportunity to perform in various concerts and recitals, both as a soloist and as a chamber musician. She also participated in masterclasses with renowned pianists such as Lazar Berman, Boris Berman, and Peter Donohoe. After graduating from the academy with honors in 2008, Tanya continued her studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg, Germany, where she studied with Prof. Volker Banfield. During her time in Hamburg, Tanya further developed her musical skills and gained valuable experience performing in various venues across Europe. Tanya's career as a professional pianist began to take off in 2010 when she won first prize at the International Piano Competition "Città di Barletta" in Italy. This was a significant achievement for Tanya, as the competition was highly competitive and attracted pianists from all over the world. Her performance was praised for its technical brilliance and musical sensitivity. Since then, Tanya has performed in numerous concerts and recitals across Europe, Asia, and North America. She has collaborated with many renowned orchestras, including the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra, and the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine. Tanya has also performed in prestigious venues such as the Berlin Philharmonic Hall, the Carnegie Hall in New York, and the Royal Albert Hall in London. Tanya's repertoire is diverse and includes works by classical composers such as Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, and Chopin, as well as contemporary composers such as Arvo Pärt and Sofia Gubaidulina. Her performances are characterized by her technical precision, musical sensitivity, and emotional depth.
