The Vega String Quartet is a renowned classical music ensemble that has been captivating audiences with their exceptional performances for over two decades. The quartet was formed in 2001 at the Juilliard School in New York City, where the members were studying under the tutelage of the Juilliard String Quartet. The quartet comprises four talented musicians: violinists Jessica Shuang Wu and Yinzi Kong, violist Guang Wang, and cellist Guangyu Wang. All four members of the quartet are accomplished musicians in their own right, having won numerous awards and accolades for their individual performances. The Vega String Quartet has performed extensively throughout the United States and around the world, including in Europe, Asia, and South America. They have also collaborated with some of the most renowned musicians in the classical music world, including pianist William Ransom, cellist Andres Diaz, and clarinetist Richard Stoltzman. One of the highlights of the Vega String Quartet's career was their performance at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. The quartet was invited to perform at the Olympic Village, where they played a selection of classical music pieces to an audience of athletes and spectators from around the world.
