Camelia Peteu is a Romanian classical music artist who has made a name for herself as a pianist, chamber musician, and educator. Born on December 22, 1979, in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, Peteu showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. She quickly demonstrated a natural talent for the instrument and began taking lessons with renowned Romanian pianist and pedagogue, Valentin Gheorghiu. Peteu's musical education continued at the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy in Cluj-Napoca, where she studied under the guidance of professors such as Gabriel Amiraș and Ştefan Doniga. She also attended masterclasses with distinguished pianists such as Lazar Berman, Dmitri Bashkirov, and Andrzej Jasinski, which helped to shape her musical style and technique. In 2002, Peteu graduated from the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy with a Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance.
