The Münchner Mädchenchor, or Munich Girls' Choir, is a renowned classical music ensemble based in Munich, Germany. The choir was founded in 1952 by conductor Gertraud Schmalenbach, who sought to create a high-quality choral group for young girls in the city. Schmalenbach's vision for the choir was to provide a platform for young girls to develop their musical talents and perform at a professional level. The choir quickly gained a reputation for its exceptional performances, and soon became one of the most sought-after choral groups in Germany.
