Cento Soli Orchestra is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2015 by a group of young musicians who shared a passion for chamber music. The ensemble is based in New York City and is made up of some of the most talented and accomplished musicians in the city. The founding members of Cento Soli Orchestra were violinists Sarah Whitney and Miki-Sophia Cloud, violist Jessica Meyer, cellist Michael Katz, and pianist Adam Golka. All of these musicians had already established themselves as soloists and chamber musicians before coming together to form the ensemble. The name "Cento Soli" means "one hundred suns" in Italian, and it reflects the ensemble's commitment to bringing together a diverse group of musicians to create a unique and vibrant sound. The ensemble's repertoire includes works from the classical and contemporary canon, as well as new and lesser-known works by living composers. Since its founding, Cento Soli Orchestra has performed at some of the most prestigious venues in the United States, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Kennedy Center. The ensemble has also toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe, performing in major cities such as Paris, London, and Berlin. One of the highlights of Cento Soli Orchestra's career was their performance at the 2017 Mostly Mozart Festival at Lincoln Center. The ensemble performed Mozart's Piano Quartet No. 1 in G minor, K. 478, with pianist Adam Golka.
