Lana Trotovsek is a Slovenian violinist who has gained international recognition for her virtuosic performances and musical sensitivity. Born on October 22, 1986, in Ljubljana, Slovenia, Trotovsek began playing the violin at the age of five. She showed an early talent for music and was soon accepted into the Ljubljana Academy of Music, where she studied with Professor Igor Ozim. Trotovsek's musical education continued at the Royal College of Music in London, where she studied with Professor Itzhak Rashkovsky. She also attended masterclasses with renowned violinists such as Maxim Vengerov, Pinchas Zukerman, and Ivry Gitlis. Trotovsek's dedication to her craft paid off when she won several prestigious awards, including the Slovenian National Competition for Young Musicians and the International Competition for Young Musicians in Novi Sad, Serbia. Trotovsek's career as a professional musician began in 2007 when she was invited to perform as a soloist with the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra. Since then, she has performed with many other orchestras, including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Mozart Players, and the Slovenian Radio Symphony Orchestra.
