Kenneth Merrill was born on May 12, 1985, in New York City. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his mother being a pianist and his father a cellist. From a young age, Merrill was exposed to classical music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Merrill's talent for music was evident from an early age, and he began taking formal piano lessons at the age of six. He quickly progressed and began performing in public at the age of eight.
