Eroica Berlin is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2006 in Berlin, Germany. The ensemble is known for its innovative and dynamic performances of classical music, and has gained a reputation as one of the most exciting and talented ensembles in Europe. The founding members of Eroica Berlin were violinist Andreas Buschatz and cellist Sebastian Hess, who had previously played together in the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. They were joined by pianist and conductor Daniel Barenboim, who served as the ensemble's artistic advisor and helped to shape its musical direction. From the beginning, Eroica Berlin was committed to exploring new and innovative ways of presenting classical music to audiences. The ensemble performed Beethoven's Triple Concerto with pianist Lang Lang and the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, which was conducted by Daniel Barenboim. In addition to its performances, Eroica Berlin has also received a number of awards and accolades over the years. In 2012, the ensemble was awarded the Echo Klassik award for its recording of Beethoven's Triple Concerto with Lang Lang and the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra. The following year, Eroica Berlin was named Ensemble of the Year by the German music magazine Fono Forum.
