He was born into a family of musicians, with both his parents being professional classical musicians. His father was a renowned cellist, and his mother was a pianist. From a young age, Max was exposed to classical music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Max's parents recognized his talent and enrolled him in the Vienna Conservatory of Music at the age of six. He studied under some of the most renowned piano teachers in Austria and quickly became a prodigy. By the age of ten, Max had already won several local piano competitions and was invited to perform at the Vienna State Opera. In 1997, Max's family moved to New York City, where he continued his music education at the Juilliard School. He studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist Yoheved Kaplinsky and quickly became one of her star pupils. Max's talent and dedication to his craft were evident, and he won several awards and scholarships during his time at Juilliard. After graduating from Juilliard, Max began his professional career as a concert pianist. He made his debut at Carnegie Hall in 2005, performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 with the New York Philharmonic. The performance was a huge success, and Max received critical acclaim for his technical skill and musicality. Over the next few years, Max continued to perform at some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Sydney Opera House. In 2010, Max released his debut album, which featured works by Chopin, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff. In 2015, Max was invited to perform at the White House for President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama. He performed a selection of classical works, including Chopin's "Fantaisie-Impromptu" and Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata."
