Birth:in Dornbirn, AustriaAaron Pilsan is a young and talented classical pianist from Austria. Born on May 2, 1995, in Vienna, Austria, Pilsan showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. He was encouraged by his parents, who were both musicians, and received his first piano lessons from his mother. Pilsan's talent was quickly recognized, and he began performing in public at the age of eight. He won his first competition at the age of ten, and by the time he was twelve, he had already performed with several orchestras in Austria and Germany. In 2008, Pilsan was accepted into the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, where he studied with renowned pianist and pedagogue Noel Flores. He also studied with other notable pianists, including Paul Badura-Skoda and Elisabeth Leonskaja. Pilsan's career took off in 2012 when he won the prestigious International Telekom Beethoven Competition in Bonn, Germany. This competition is known for its high level of competition and attracts some of the best young pianists from around the world. Pilsan's performance of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor impressed the judges and earned him first prize. Since then, Pilsan has performed in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Vienna Konzerthaus, and the Carnegie Hall in New York. He has also performed with many renowned orchestras, including the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Munich Philharmonic, and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition to his solo performances, Pilsan is also an accomplished chamber musician. He has collaborated with many notable musicians, including violinist Renaud Capuçon, cellist Gautier Capuçon, and clarinetist Sabine Meyer. Pilsan's repertoire is diverse and includes works by many composers, including Beethoven, Mozart, Schubert, and Chopin. He is particularly known for his interpretations of Beethoven's piano sonatas and has recorded several of them for the Oehms Classics label. Pilsan has received many awards and honors throughout his career. In addition to his win at the International Telekom Beethoven Competition, he has also won the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe Scholarship and the Bösendorfer Prize at the International Schubert Competition in Dortmund, Germany.
