Laberintos Ingeniosos is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2012 in Mexico City. The group is known for its innovative approach to classical music, blending traditional and contemporary styles to create a unique sound that has captivated audiences around the world. The ensemble was founded by four musicians: Ana Cervantes (piano), Mauricio Náder (guitar), Leonardo Coral (violin), and Alejandro Escuer (flute). All four members are highly accomplished musicians in their own right, with extensive experience performing and recording both classical and contemporary music. From the beginning, Laberintos Ingeniosos set out to create a new kind of classical music experience. Rather than simply performing traditional classical pieces, the group sought to explore the boundaries of the genre, incorporating elements of jazz, rock, and other styles into their music. One of the group's early highlights was their performance at the 2013 Festival Internacional Cervantino in Guanajuato, Mexico. The festival is one of the largest and most prestigious cultural events in Latin America, and Laberintos Ingeniosos was one of the few classical music ensembles invited to perform. The group's performance at the festival was a huge success, earning them critical acclaim and a growing fan base. They went on to perform at other major festivals and venues throughout Mexico and the United States, including the Festival Internacional de Música de Morelia, the Festival Internacional de Música de Cámara de San Miguel de Allende, and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. In addition to their live performances, Laberintos Ingeniosos has also released several albums, including their debut album, "Laberintos Ingeniosos," which was released in 2014. The album features a mix of original compositions and arrangements of classical pieces, showcasing the group's unique blend of styles and influences. Over the years, Laberintos Ingeniosos has received numerous awards and accolades for their work. In 2015, they were awarded the National Arts and Culture Award by the Mexican government, recognizing their contributions to the country's cultural heritage. The group has also been praised for their commitment to education and outreach. They have conducted workshops and masterclasses for students of all ages, and have worked with organizations such as the National System of Youth Orchestras of Mexico to promote classical music education and performance. Today, Laberintos Ingeniosos continues to push the boundaries of classical music, exploring new sounds and styles while remaining true to their roots. With their innovative approach and passionate performances, they have become one of the most exciting and dynamic classical music ensembles in the world.
