Madrid Chamber Orchestra is a classical music ensemble based in Madrid, Spain. The orchestra was founded in 1979 by the Spanish conductor and composer José Luis Temes. The ensemble has since become one of the most renowned chamber orchestras in Spain, known for its high-quality performances and innovative programming. The Madrid Chamber Orchestra is made up of around 30 musicians, including string players, wind players, and percussionists. The ensemble is known for its versatility, performing a wide range of repertoire from the Baroque era to contemporary music. Despite its many achievements, the Madrid Chamber Orchestra has faced some challenges over the years. In 2013, the ensemble was forced to cancel several concerts due to financial difficulties. However, the orchestra has since rebounded, and continues to perform regularly both in Spain and abroad. Today, the Madrid Chamber Orchestra remains one of the most respected and innovative chamber ensembles in Spain.
