Born on May 12, 1985, in Dublin, Ireland, Power showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. His parents, who were both music enthusiasts, encouraged him to pursue his passion for music, and he began taking piano lessons with a local teacher. As a child, Power was a prodigious talent, and he quickly developed a reputation as a gifted pianist. He won his first competition at the age of eight and went on to win numerous awards and accolades throughout his childhood and teenage years. Power's talent and hard work paid off, and he began to establish himself as a rising star in the world of classical music. He made his debut at the Wigmore Hall in London in 2008, where he received critical acclaim for his performance of Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 32. The following year, he made his debut at the Royal Festival Hall, where he performed Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Since then, Power has performed with some of the most renowned orchestras in the world, including the New York Philharmonic, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Vienna Philharmonic. He has also collaborated with some of the most distinguished conductors, including Sir Simon Rattle, Daniel Barenboim, and Valery Gergiev. Power's repertoire is vast and varied, and he is known for his interpretations of the works of Beethoven, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, and Liszt. He has also championed the works of contemporary composers, including John Adams and Thomas Adès. In addition to his performances, Power is also a dedicated teacher and mentor. He has taught at the Royal College of Music and the Royal Irish Academy of Music, and he has given masterclasses around the world.
