Born on May 12, 1985, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Cindy showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. She also had the opportunity to perform in various concerts and competitions, including the Boston Symphony Orchestra's Young Artist Competition, where she won first prize. After graduating from the conservatory in 2007, Cindy began to establish herself as a professional pianist. She performed at various concerts and events across the United States and Europe, including the International Keyboard Institute and Festival in New York City and the International Piano Festival in Spain. Cindy's talent and dedication to her craft did not go unnoticed, and she began to receive numerous awards and accolades for her performances. In 2010, she won the prestigious Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition in Salt Lake City, Utah, which helped to further establish her as one of the top pianists in the world. Since then, Cindy has continued to perform at various concerts and events across the world, including the International Piano Festival in China and the International Keyboard Institute and Festival in New York City. She has also released several albums, including her debut album, "Cindy Castillo Plays Chopin," which received critical acclaim. In addition to her performances, Cindy is also a dedicated teacher and has taught at various music schools and conservatories across the United States.
