Kurt began his musical education at the age of four, when he started taking piano lessons from his father. He quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument, and by the age of six, he was already performing in public. At the age of eight, he made his debut as a soloist with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, playing Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 20 in D minor. Kurt continued to study piano throughout his childhood and teenage years, and he also began to explore other areas of music. He started to compose his own music, and he also began to study conducting. By the time he was in his early twenties, he had already established himself as a versatile musician with a wide range of skills. In 2007, Kurt won first prize in the International Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland. This was a major achievement for him, and it helped to launch his career as a soloist. He began to perform regularly in Europe and Asia, and he quickly gained a reputation as one of the most talented young pianists of his generation. Over the years, Kurt has performed with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic. He has also collaborated with some of the most renowned conductors of our time, including Daniel Barenboim, Simon Rattle, and Zubin Mehta. One of the highlights of Kurt's career was his performance at the 2012 Proms in London. He played Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat major, and his performance was widely praised by critics and audiences alike. The Guardian described his playing as "mesmerizing," and The Times called him "a pianist of exceptional talent and sensitivity." In addition to his work as a soloist, Kurt is also a dedicated chamber musician. He has performed with many of the world's leading chamber ensembles, including the Emerson String Quartet and the Guarneri Quartet. He is also a member of the Vienna Piano Trio, which has won critical acclaim for its performances of works by Beethoven, Schubert, and Brahms. Kurt is also a respected teacher, and he has taught masterclasses at some of the world's leading music schools, including the Juilliard School in New York and the Royal Academy of Music in London.
