She was the daughter of a well-known violinist, Franz Loor, who was a member of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Friedl showed an early interest in music and began playing the violin at the age of four. She received her first lessons from her father and later studied with other prominent violinists such as Carl Flesch and Otakar Ševčík. At the age of 12, Friedl made her debut as a soloist with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, playing the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto. Her performance was well-received, and she was praised for her technical skill and musicality. This marked the beginning of her career as a soloist, and she went on to perform with many other orchestras throughout Europe. In 1914, Friedl made her debut in London, playing the Brahms Violin Concerto with the London Symphony Orchestra. Her performance was a great success, and she was praised for her virtuosity and musical sensitivity. This led to many more performances in London and other cities in the UK.
