He was born into a family of musicians, and his parents were both professional classical musicians. His father was a cellist, and his mother was a pianist. Niklaas grew up surrounded by music, and he started playing the piano at a very young age. Niklaas showed a natural talent for music, and he quickly became a prodigy. He started performing in public when he was only six years old, and he was soon recognized as one of the most promising young musicians in the Netherlands. He won his first competition when he was eight years old, and he went on to win many more competitions in the following years. Niklaas received his formal musical education at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where he studied under the guidance of some of the most renowned classical musicians in the world. He graduated with honors in 2007, and he immediately started his professional career as a concert pianist. Niklaas quickly gained a reputation as one of the most talented and versatile pianists of his generation. He was equally at home playing the works of the classical masters as he was playing contemporary music. He was known for his technical virtuosity, his musical sensitivity, and his ability to connect with audiences. Niklaas's career took off in the late 2000s, and he started performing in some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world. He made his debut at Carnegie Hall in 2009, and he received a standing ovation from the audience. He also performed at the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Sydney Opera House. Niklaas's performances were always highly acclaimed, and he received many awards and honors throughout his career.
